Freelance – Expert Project Manager NL – FR – ENG

We are seeking an Expert Project Manager for one of our clients. In this role, you will join a multidisciplinary project organization where effective information flow, strong teamwork, and clear communication are essential. Our client is looking for a seasoned professional with extensive experience managing large, complex projects within top-level corporate environments.

• Start 1 jan 2025
• 2 or 3 days on site working
• 6 months contract, extension possible

Your challenges as a Senior Project Manager

• A multi disciplinary project organisation where good information flows, strong teamwork and clear communication are crucial
• Involvement of many different external and internal stakeholders
• Sensitivity of relationships with strategically important stakeholders and partners of the airport
• High involvement of the airport's executive management
• Working in a project team with clear agreements regarding responsibilities and lines of communication
• Projects in a business line in full development entails volatility and uncertainty
• Collaboration with an external team of various parties and subcontractors

Required competencies

• Master's degree or equivalent through experience
• At least 10 years of experience as a project manager in a complex, rapidly changing environment
• Proven experience with prioritization and working in complex environments, cross-departmental mechanisms, diversity of internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong communication skills and strong synthetic ability
• Experience in communication to executive management level (incl. storyline and strong visual communication)
• Stakeholder management of strategically important partners of the airport
• Alignment with internal experts in stakeholder relations
• Team player able to work with various disciplines and people. You can adapt to various environments. Driven to work together as a team and have a constructive and helpful attitude towards peers
• Process optimization & digitalization toolbox
• Hands on, can do mentality
• Ability to maintain focus within a multitude of activities and evolutions and cope with uncertainties in a volatile environment
• You are analytical, have strong organizational skills and demonstrate leadership
• You have good view on organizational sensitivity
• You are flexible, proactive and customer-oriented
• You speak Dutch fluently and you also speak English and French
